Boeing Australia’s dedication to helping customers improve their business has been recognised by the nation’s premier business award: the Australian Business Excellence Medal. Presented by Standards Australia, the Medal acknowledges Boeing Australia Limited as the most outstanding company in the 15th annual Australian Business Excellence Awards. The department’s aim is to advance the interests of Australia and Australians internationally. This aim, outlined in the Corporate Plan 2000–2002, is the driving force behind our work and underpins all the department’s goals, priorities, values and culture. The department is managed by the Senior Executive, comprising the Secretary and four deputy secretaries. The Senior Executive, supported by the Senior Executive Service, focuses on ensuring that the department maintains the highest professional standards in providing service to the Government and to Australia. It provides leadership through decision-making on foreign and trade policy and corporate issues, and in shaping the values and culture of the department to ensure an open, fair and professionally rewarding working environment for all staff.

 

Australian Industry & Defence Network exists to assist members in maximising their profitability through networking and enhanced business opportunities with Defence and Defence prime contractors, and initiatives which improve management skills and expertise. AIDN-NSW was set up in the early 1990s to facilitate communications and business opportunities with Defence for SME’s that operate in New South Wales.
